announced the details for its ODS Pit Crew Challenge.
The ODS
Pit Crew Challenge will be held during Old Dominion’s pre-race
ceremonies as part of the Capitol Cadillac, Hummer, Buick,
Pontiac and GMC 200 Summerfest Celebration. The Pit Crew
Challenge is open to all Late Model teams.
The ODS
Pit Crew Challenge will start with each team’s Late Model car
receiving the green flag at the ODS start line. The Late
Model car will travel around Old Dominion’s historic track to
Turn 4 where the Late Model car will enter the pit area and
proceed through the pit lane to the area near the scale. At
the scale, the late Model Crew (consisting of three team
members) will be required to change two (2) right side tires
using their own tools [ only one wrench can be used to change
the tires (compressed air will be provided)] and clean the
windshield.
Once
complete, the Late Model car will proceed though the pit lane
back to the speedway entrance between Turns 1 and 22. The
Late Model car will then proceed to Old Dominion’s finish
line. The time duration will be measured from where the Late
Model car first passes the finish line after the green flag
start to the second pass of the finish line signaling the end
of the time period for this team’s ODS Pit Crew Challenge. At
the conclusion of the Pit Crew Challenge, the ODS Tech
Officials will inspect lug nuts for tightness and confirm that
the windshield is clean. The shortest measured time as
recorded by ODS AMB Timing System will be the first place
finisher and the ODS Pit Crew Challenge winner.

first place ODS Pit Crew Team will receive:

(including mounting)
* A 150.00 Team Gift Certificate to Glory Days Grill
