Old Dominion Speedway has recently been made aware of an incident that occurred off of the speedway property between two of our racers.
In response to the questions, we have received regarding any Speedway reaction to this incident, the following suspension polices are provided:

 Old Dominion Speedway’s Suspension Policy

Certain technical and rules violations may result in penalties that may include suspension from racing activities.  These suspensions may be imposed on a driver, car owner and/or crew chief.  Actions at the speedway of drivers, car owners and/or crewmembers may also result in suspension.  These are actions that are loosely described as ‘actions detrimental to stock car racing’ and cover a wide array of activities at the speedway that include, but are not limited too, verbal and physical abuse of competitors and/or speedway officials, creating or perpetuating a dangerous situation, failure to obey directives and others.

Persons granted access to the restricted area must not possess, consume or be under the influence of ANY alcoholic beverage or controlled substance at any time during the event, ending when the final checkered flag has been waived indicating the conclusion of the event’s racing activities.  Substances that are illegal are not permitted at any time.  Any person found in violation of this policy may be immediately removed from the restricted area.  Additional penalties, fines and or disciplinary actions may be imposed by NASCAR officials as determined appropriate, up to and including, revocation of NASCAR license.

Any questions concerning Old Dominion Speedway’s suspension policies should be directed to a Speedway Official, General Manager, or Owner/Promoter.
