Old Dominion Speedway confirmed today that Mr. Dick Gore (Dickie) would return to the historic facility in 2007 as Old Dominion’s Nascar Whelen All-American Series Race Director.

“It is with great excitement and enthusiasm that we welcome Dickie back to the track” said Steve Britt, Promoter. “We have been trying to build some consistency and I believe that concern will end with the first race of the 2007 season.” Dickie is well rested, eager and ready to go so it will be an exciting and terrific 2007 season. Gary Gore who formerly promoted Eastside Speedway has also pledged his extensive talents at Old Dominion this year. “One of the fantastic outcomes of our purchase of the facility in 2003 has been the great relationship and friendship that has developed between us” said Steve. To celebrate Dickie’s return Old Dominion will host the ODS Shakedown. This exciting, April 21, 2007 Spring-time event will showcase Old Dominion’s facility and will be similar to the widely acclaimed ODS Big One held in October of each year.

“All and all it’s going to be a very exciting year at Old Dominion Speedway”. “There is so much going on”, said Hayne Dominick. We are really proud of our facility and the racing program we have developed for 2007.
