Old Dominion Speedway Rained Out For Third Time In 2001 ……

For the third time this season, activities at the Old Dominion Speedway in Manassas have been rained out. Heavy early morning rains and the forecast for heavy showers and flash floods forced track owner Dick Gore to cancel the events.
Next Saturday night, the NASCAR Weekly Racing Series Late Model Stock Cars will compete in a 75 lap event. Also on tap is a 50 lap feature for the Redman Fleet Service Grand Stocks, a 30 lap feature for the D&K Electric / Aldie Construction Mini Stocks, and a 25 lap feature for the Gaston Automotive Speedway Sportsman. Lustine Chevrolet Quick Qualifying for the Late Models and Grand Stocks begins at 5:15 PM, with racing action set for 7:00 PM.
