Rain Washes Out Activities At ODS …………………

For the 2nd time this season, rain has cancelled activities at the Old Dominion Speedway in Manassas. The forecast for the day was that the misty, light rain was to be out of the region by noon. Track officials were hopeful that would be the case and continued to keep safety vehicles on the track to attempt to dry it out. However, the mist continued well into the early afternoon, and with temperatures only reaching the high 50's, officials decided to call off the evening's activities at 2:15 PM. The 2004 NASCAR Dodge Weekly Series schedule at ODS continues next week with twin 75 lap features for the Late Model Stock Cars. The Redman Fleet Service Grand Stocks will compete in a 50 lap event, along with a 30 lap feature for the Kay Jennings Springfield Toyota Mini Stocks, and a 25 lap feature for the Winning Edge Performance and Graphics Speedway Sportsman. Qualifying gets underway at 4 PM, pre-race begins at 6 PM, with the Manassas Dodge "Dash For The Cash" taking the green at 7 PM.
